ILO launches LEGOSH: the first global database on national occupational safety and health legislation

This is an invitation to get involved in the International Labour Organization (ILO) project LEGOSH, the first global database on national occupational safety and health legislation. This tool provides an overview and analysis of the current national OSH regulatory frameworks worldwide and compiles the wealth of legislation related to this topic. LEGOSH can be accessed at: www.ilo.org/legosh.

In order to cover all member States of the ILO in LEGOSH and keep the information up-to-date, we would like to encourage labour law specialists from research centres, institutes and universities to collaborate. In this regard assistance is needed in researching the occupational safety and health legislative framework of countries which remain uncovered and to support the constant update of the database. Voluntary contributions meeting quality standards are publicly acknowledged at the ILO website: http://www.ilo.org/safework/info/publications/WCMS_244375/lang--en/index....

This important tool has been launched by the Labour Administration, Labour Inspection and Occupational Safety and Health (LABADMIN/OSH) Branch of the ILO in June 2014 with the purpose of assisting constituents in developing OSH legislation by providing them with examples and good practices from other countries.
