Applications are invited for a permanent post of an Associate Professor / Professor in EU Disability Law, UCD Sutherland School of Law, Permanent.

In keeping with the UCD strategic themes in particular, of empowering humanity, the School wishes to make a permanent appointment at Associate Professor OR Professor level in the field of EU Disability Law. Applications are invited from candidates who have a distinguished record of, and commitment to, leadership in research and teaching which deepens our understanding of the critical issues in EU Disability Law. The person appointed will provide academic vision, innovation, strategic leadership and management. They will have a distinguished international research record and a track record of securing research funding and relevant research interests and experience. The role will involve the provision of research leadership including high quality scholarship, publishing in leading international peer reviewed journals and with leading academic presses. They will engage in internationally impactful research in the field, secure major research grants, develop partnerships with other research centres in UCD (e.g. the UCD Centre for Disability Studies) and develop international networks.
They will develop modules in the field and contribute to teaching at u/g and taught graduate level including in collaborative interdisciplinary teaching and supervise graduate students in accordance with the academic mission of the School. The successful candidate will assume administrative and managerial duties as appropriate to the role, fostering collegiality within the School and assisting it in realising its mission of academic excellence. The successful candidate will report to the Dean of Law.
95 Associate Professor Salary Scale: €69,865 - €97,595 per annum
OR
95 Professor salary scale: €86,119 - €114,236 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
